Jamestown Sun (AP) A pursuit by the Jamestown Police Department was terminated Tuesday night because of excessive speed and road conditions, said Robert Opp, a lieutenant with the Jamestown Police Department. The incident began at 1:49 a.m. When two males and a female forced their way in the room, he said. When officers arrived they observed three people later identified as Dustin Vaughn, Gabriel Hanson and amber Switters, all of Jamestown, leaving the Room, Opp said. The officers ordered the three to halt but only Switters complied, while Vaughn and Hanson fled the scene with officers in pursuit, he said. The pursuit led to 17th Street Southwest and then onto interstate 94 and reached speeds of up to 115 mph. Opp said. At that point the officers terminated the pursuit due to excessive speeds and poor road Conditions. Switter is in Custody at the Stutsman county Correctional Center. Vaughn and Hanson are Wanted for Questioning in the incident.The Jamestown police Department does not believe they pose a threat to the public at this time.
BISMARCK,N.D. (AP) A North Dakota judge has Refused to award Attorneys fees to a North Carolina security company that won a court case in the wake of protests against the Dakota Access oil pipeline. North Dakota’s Private investigative and Security Board unsuccessfully sued TigerSwan for allegedly operating without a license,and TigerSwan sought reimbursement for at least $165,000 in attorney fees.A judge has rejected the request, saying the board’s case wasn’t frivolous even though the board lost.
Epping, N.D. (AP) – State officals say a valve leak is to blame for the spill of nearly 20,000 gallons of saltwater in Williams County. Whiting Oil and Gas Corp. reported Tuesday that 469 barrells of brine spilled at a well about 10 miles Southwest of Epping. The state Oil And Gas Division says the brine was Contained on-site and cleanup is underway. A State inspect has visited the site and will monitor the cleanup.
FARGO, N.D. (AP)- The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the victim of an interstate crash during the blizzard-like conditions this week. Seventy-two-year old Delmar Ruff,of West Fargo, Died in a three-vehicle crash on interstate 29 monday afternoon south of fargo.
